Questions and answers
Working with Ikigai UK
What does Ikigai UK actually do?
We are a fractional consultancy and execution partner for SMEs. We work across four connected pillars - Sales Enablement, Operations & Systems, Marketing & Growth and Business Support - and we build and hand over, not just advise.
What size of business do you work with?
Mostly SMEs and founder-led businesses that need specialist capability but cannot justify hiring full departments. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
How do engagements start?
With a consultation. We ask about the business, the problem and what you have tried, then recommend the cleanest place to start - usually a scoped micro-package.
Do you hand over what you build?
Yes. Documentation and handover are built into every engagement. The goal is that your team can run what we build without depending on us.
Pricing and scope
How is pricing set?
Micro-packages are fixed-scope and priced after a short consultation. Embedded and fractional support uses a revenue-banded model, so pricing scales with the size and complexity of your business.
Why is pricing not published on the site?
Because scope varies. We confirm scope, timeline and price in writing before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No retainer is required to start. Most clients begin with a single fixed-scope package and decide about ongoing support afterwards.
Skillex and learning
What is Skillex?
Skillex is a separate learning platform connected to Ikigai's operating approach, hosting courses, templates and playbooks. It is external to this website - we link to it, but it is its own platform.
Can we learn first and hire later?
Yes, and we encourage it. Building capability through Skillex first often makes a later engagement smaller and sharper.
